"Every cake begins with a conversation — your colours, your theme, your people, your memory."

I'm Marva, the hands behind every Sweet Layers cake. It started small — baking for my own children's birthdays, then for neighbours, then for people I'd never met who found me through a friend of a friend. Six years later, I'm still in the same kitchen, still mixing every batch myself.

What I've learned is that people don't just want a cake. They want the moment it represents — a daughter turning one, a couple saying "we do," a graduate who made it through. When you message me on WhatsApp, you're talking to the person who'll actually bake your cake, not a sales team. I want to know your story before I ever pick up a piping bag.
