"I run for every kid from a small island who was told the world stage wasn't for them."
Born and raised in Castries, Saint Lucia, Zael Emmanuel grew up watching Caribbean sprinters rewrite what was possible on the global stage. Inspired by Julien Alfred's historic gold at the 2024 Paris Olympics — his nation's finest moment — he channeled that pride into relentless discipline, training through limited resources and representing Saint Lucia across CARIFTA circuits from age 17.
A full athletics scholarship to the University of Miami followed. Now ranked in the global top 50 in the 100m, carrying a 10.02s personal best, and holding five consecutive national titles, Zael is no longer a regional prospect. He is a legitimate LA 2028 Olympic contender — and a story that resonates across the Caribbean, the diaspora, and the world.
